This modest Spanish styled house is situated on the southern slopes of Table Mountain, nestled in between indigenous trees and vegetation, and with the new contemporary renovation and additions, it celebrates the juxtaposition between old and new, and its surroundings. The new architectural intervention includes a sunken lounge, a courtyard, a new kitchen that opens to the outdoors, large punched openings that frame spectacular vistas, and materials and textures that reference the surrounding context and pay homage to it through bringing the outside in.
